Thomas "Tim" Conway (December 15, 1933 - May 14, 2019) was an American actor, writer, director, and comedian.
In live-action, he is best known as Ensign Charles Parker in McHale’s Navy, as a co-star of The Carol Burnett Show, and for his role as Dorf, whom he most notably played in Dorf on Golf.
As a voice actor, his most acclaimed role was as Barnacle Boy in Nickelodeon's SpongeBob SquarePants. He co-starred in the series as the sidekick of Mermaid Man, who was played his good friend, Ernest Borgnine.
The most notable people he has collaborated with were Borgnine, Pasquale Murena, Harvey Korman, Don Knotts, and Ernie Anderson.
In Wordgirl, he starred in three episodes as the high-spirited Bampy Botsford, father of Tim Botsford, father-in-law of Sally Botsford, and grandfather of Becky and TJ.
On May 14, 2019, Conway had become the second guest star and actor involved in WordGirl to pass on. The cause of his death came from complications of normal pressure hydrocephalus, and he died at the age of 85 in Los Angeles, California.
