The Rise of Miss Power is the first and only official WordGirl movie. The original animated movie has Pretty Princess and Magic Pony Power Hour to fill in the time between the movie's four segments. When it was released as individual episodes in 2013, "May I Have a Word" was shown between segments. Each segment is about ten to eleven minutes long. "The Rise of Miss Power" is also the only one-hour episode.

Summary[]
An intergalactic visitor, Miss Power, comes to earth and promises to teach WordGirl everything she knows about crime-fighting. When the lessons don't go as planned, WordGirl and her sidekick Captain Huggy Face begin to question whether Miss Power is a super hero or a super villain.
Plot[]
There's a new super hero in town! Miss Power has come to earth from outer space along with her sidekick, Colonel Giggle Cheeks. WordGirl is excited for Miss Power to teach her everything she knows. But is Miss Power really a super hero? Or could she be a super villain? Besides using her super strength and super speed to defeat villains, Miss Power has another secret weapon: using mean words against others. WordGirl would rather not use her words harshly-but after giving it a shot, on both Chuck and Tobey, she feels empowered. Huggy meanwhile remains suspicious of Miss Power, because not only does he dislike her crime fighting ways she is also not a great example for WordGirl. Soon, everyone starts wondering "What has gotten into WordGirl?" And the Botsford's are beginning to wonder "What has gotten into Becky?" To make matters worse, other citizens across the city are name calling and insulting each other. When Becky, T.J. and Scoops say mean things to Sally Botsford they are punished with chores, Bob tries to tell Becky that Miss Power is not okay but Becky won't hear it and the argument ends with Becky telling him he's just her sidekick driving a wedge between the two. WordGirl and Miss Power do some more training and soon learn of Dr. Two-Brains robbing the jewelry store. While there, he questions WordGirl's bullying and Miss Powers influence but WordGirl states she is not a bully and does not see how she is doing wrong. However when Miss Power actually makes Two-Brains cry, after vowing to make sure he'll never eat cheese again, WordGirl now sees that Miss Power has taken bullying way too far and WordGirl doesn't like being associated with such a mean person. When Miss Power takes the villains to the jailhouse explaining what they did and even bullies Sally Botsford, she expresses her disappointment in WordGirl reminding her she's better than this. Later when WordGirl tries to stand up to Miss Power, she gets belittled and stripped of her super hero star. Miss Power also reveals that she actually came to Earth not to save it but to conquer it much to WordGirl's shock, especially when Miss Power reveals her snake eye and takes over. Dejected and sulking, Becky goes home but hides in the treehouse but Bob joins her, forgiving her. At first she decides to not see her parents especially after what she said and did earlier but after some encouragement does so. She apologizes to her parents for the mean words she said, they are happy to see her again to her but tell Becky she is still in trouble. Moments later, Miss Power is there to take Sally Botsford away. Will WordGirl be able to save her mom and defeat Miss Power without sinking to her level? WordGirl needs to come up with a plan to save her mom and get rid of Miss Power, fast! Huggy decides to share with her a pamphlet full of secret battle moves from her home planet, Lexicon. Will these moves be enough to save the city from Miss Power? All the city villains fight Miss Power, but even when teaming up, they are no match for Miss Power. Thankfully WordGirl arrives to stop her, Miss Power cannot believe her own student is fighting her. WordGirl states that the only thing Miss Power taught was to bully people and say mean things, that is not what a hero does. Miss Power claims that WordGirl is a terrible hero who fights weak villains. WordGirl states that the city's villains are tough and gives a telling off to Miss Power saying that she doesn't accept her bullying and Miss Power loses her control over the city. Instead of fighting or accepting defeat Miss Power leaves saying that she never loses and she is quitting. With Miss Power gone and the city safe WordGirl takes Sally Botsford home and she tells WordGirl how proud she is of her.

Quotes[]
Computer: Now, with WordGirl on your side, ploy to conquer Earth can be accomplished.
Miss Power: Ah, this is going to be so much fun. Giggle Cheeks, we found ourselves a new home. Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!
Miss Power: How dare you question me! I've TRAINED you! I'M Miss Power!
- [Miss Power hosts her news show on TV]
- Miss Power: Citizens of Planet Earth, guess what? Someone new is in charge. Me.
- Man: Hey, what if we don't want you?
- Miss Power: You'll get to go to jail.
- Man: [gets taken away by Captain Giggle Cheeks] Hey!
- Miss Power: You guys aren't really smart enough to be running things on your own. You'll need a new leader. And guess who that is. I nominate me.
- Woman: We don't need a new leader. We have WordGirl! She can stop you.
- Miss Power: [laughs] No, she can't. I defeated WordGirl! And now this planet is mine! An if you don't like that, wells there's a nice cozy jail cell for you. Just ask District Attorney Botsford.
- Sally: You know if you're all together. There's no way she'd be able to handle you.
- The Villains: Yeah!
- Sally: And guess what you are right now!
- The Villains: All together!
- Sally: Time to show this Miss Power why the rest of this city can't stand with you guys!
- Sally: Let's go get her! Charge!
- Miss Power: Right. Bring it on!
- WordGirl: The only thing you taught me was how to bully.
- Miss Power: I try to help you.
- WordGirl: So you're saying I'm going to be triumphant?
- Miss Power: Yeah. Yes, that's right you're going to be triumphant. Ha!
- WordGirl: I think so too. You know why? Because being triumphant actually means winning!
- Miss Power: What? No it doesn't.
- The Butcher: [offscreen] Oh yeah it does! WordGirl taught me that just last week!
