The Pretty Princess and Mr. Big Power Hour is episode 4a of Season 3 of WordGirl.
Summary[]
WordGirl's wildest dream has come true: she's part of an episode of Pretty Princess! It seems like the perfect situation until we realize the villainous Mr. Big is behind this scheme. WordGirl must escape the grips of Mr. Big's remote control in order to save the city.
Plot[]
Todd "Scoops" Ming interviews WordGirl for a local news station to prove that superheroes are like regular citizens. While her favorite hobby is flying, WordGirl says that if she wasn't a superhero she would be a star on her favorite tv show The Pretty Princess and Magic Pony Power Hour, even though it's a cartoon. Scoops has more question for her but she leaves because her show is about to start and she has never missed an episode as long as she doesn't have to fight crime so she takes off for her hideout.
Mr. Big meanwhile was watching the program and is going to use WordGirl's love of her favorite show to his advantage: he'll use mind control on WordGirl and make her think that she's inside her tv show. When Leslie asks what he'll do next he realizes he hadn't thought that far ahead, he says that he'll make her take everyone out of the city. Leslie is not impressed at the fact that his plan is not so thought out. He tells her that once WordGirl is under his control, the city will be his. Leslie tells him to make sure it only affects WordGirl and no one else. She then leaves for her lunch break (she is also sneaking off to watch the show herself), Mr. Big does remind Leslie to punch her time card before she does. Mr. Big activates the mind control with WordGirl settling in. As she starts to watch, Mr Big sends out a final message to WordGirl before placing her under his control. She is soon "transported" into the world of Pretty Princess where Mr Big speaks to her through Pretty Princess. Believing it to be real, WordGirl asks a lot of questions about the show but Mr Big (who has no knowledge of the show) tells WordGirl to hold her questions.

- In addition she reveals that she can't tell if she is being sarcastic anymore, this is due to her now monotone voice (in her first appearance her voice was normal)
- It is shown in this episode that Mr. Big can use mind control on a single person.
- Before being under mind control Mr. Big says, "...thanks to viewers like you." This is a common saying announced before a show on PBS starts.
- This marks the last time WordGirl is under mind control.
