Seize the Cheese is episode 1a of Season 5 of WordGirl.
Summary[]
It's a beautiful fall day, and Mr. and Mrs. Botsford drag Becky and TJ away from their video game to enjoy a family hike. Dr. Two-Brains is also outside apple picking with his henchmen -- of course his plans involve seizing cheese, as well. After realizing how delicious cheese and apples taste together, Two Brains decides he wants more... lots more. And that scheme was made easy, using his brand-new ray: The Cheese Seizer. Will Becky be able to sneak away from her family and become WordGirl to save the city's cheese?
Plot[]
It is the first day of autumn and lots of people are outside enjoying the season and the nice weather but Becky is inside playing the new Pretty Princess and Magic Pony Power Hour video game. Tim and Sally Botsford tell the kids they are going on a hike in the woods so they can enjoy the autumn day which the two kids are anything but interested in. Meanwhile Dr. Two-Brains has completed a new cheese ray in the shape of a magnet since he was brought to prison seven days ago, but he is broken out thanks to his henchmen and the warden didn't notice. After getting out, Two-Brains is eager to test out his new creation but the henchmen asks if they could do something they wanted since they broke their boss out. Two-Brains gladly agrees and asks what they want to do and they want to go apple picking. While not excited about the idea Two-Brains allows it.
Out on the hiking trail the Botsfords, minus Becky are ready to start hiking, however, Tim has an oversized hiking bag, due to the size it takes them a while to get on the hiking trail, unless Becky helps. At the orchard, Two-Brains picks an apple but rebuffs that this is boring, especially since he loves cheese. A farmer shares with them a snack of apples and cheese, which Two-Brains loves and decides to use his new magnet to bring the cheese to have with the apples. He dubs his invention the cheese seizer and uses it to draw cheese in from all over. The Botsfords still haven't made it to the trail and Becky wishes she was playing a video game at home, but Tim states firmly they are going hiking and that's that. Suddenly some cheese floats by and she knows that Dr. Two-Brains is nearby. Since she cannot leave, she sends Bob to go and find Two-Brains and she'll catch up. As he flys across the sky he has a good time. Two-Brains has now collected so much cheese and is happy, when Huggy shows up, he thinks WordGirl is coming. Huggy declares he's going to stop him but Two-Brains scoffs at this and a henchman traps him an apple barrel.
The Botsfords are exhausted from all the pulling, seeing a chance to sneak away, Becky suggests they take a nap which the family agrees with. Once they're asleep she turns into WordGirl and goes to aid HuggyFace. Two-Brains and his henchmen are so full from all the cheese they ate that their stomachs are big. After falling asleep, Huggy comes out of the barrel and sees them exhausted.
