Orlando Brown is an American actor, voice actor, singer, and rapper.

As a live-action actor, he is best known for his roles as Eddie Thomas in That's So Raven, 3J in Family Matters, Tiger in Major Payne, Max in Two of a Kind", Dobbs in Max Keeble's Big Movie, and Frankie in Eddie's Million Dollar Cook-Off.

As a voice actor, he is notable for his roles as Damey Wayne in Waynehead, and for his role as Sticky Webb in The Proud Family series.

As a singer and rapper, similar to some of his film and tv works, he has particularly collaborated with Disney in making songs. He is well known for making his own version of The Lion King's "The Circle of Life", and Cinderella's "A Dream is A Wish Your Heart Makes".

For Wordgirl, he starred in the "May I have a Word?" sequences of the show as Tommy, an arrogant contestant who defines words in order to win the game.

Legal Issues[]

  • On February 29, 2016, Brown was arrested by the police for misdemeanor, domestic battery, obstruction of justice, possession of drugs with the intention of selling them, contraband in jail, and resisting arrest. This makes him the first member of Wordgirl's voice cast to ever have been an actual criminal and go to jail for his crimes.
  • On January 18, 2018, Brown was arrested again, this time in Barstow, California after an alleged family dispute including an argument with a girlfriend. He was charged with battery of a spouse, resisting a police officer, and possession of a controlled substance. He was booked into the Barstow Jail on the same day.
  • On April 13, 2018, Brown was arrested in Las Vegas by Bounty Hunters for an outstanding warrant in California for failure to appear.
  • On June 5, 2018, Brown was arrested for a fourth time in Las Vegas after the police witnessed him walking in and out of an area motel with high prostitution and illegal drug activity. He was stopped but refused to cooperate and was thus cuffed. Brown was found to have possessed bags of drugs which were identified as crack cocaine. Brown was booked on felony narcotics possession, misdemeanor, drug paraphernalia, and resisting a police officer.
  • On September 2, 2018, Brown was arrested for a fifth time after breaking into his friend's restaurant and trying to change the locks.
  • On December 21, 2018, an episode of The Dr. Phil Show aired focusing on Brown, who appeared confused and delusional. He stated Michael Jackson was his father and that he has four children, two of which he has never met and doesn't know their names or ages.
