The phrase gray-shirted lady refers to an unnamed background character regularly seen wearing a long-sleeved gray shirt with a slightly darker gray t-shirt over top of it. She also wears blue jeans and has shaggy brown hair. The Ponytailed Girl seems to be her daughter, as seen in "Chuck Makes a Buck" and "Chuck the Pencil Selling Guy" she's seen riding on her back and they also share the same facial structure. In "The Good, the Bad, and the Chucky", she works at the grocery store. However in "High-Five Sandwich", it's revealed that she works at a Sub Shop as a clerk. It's possible she either has two jobs, or has left one to get the current one she has.
She also seems to have a son and a husband as they are usually seen with her and her daughter in "Vocab Bee", "Theme Park WHAMpage", "Mr. Big Words" and "Heat Wave, Crime Wave".
She was either voiced by Maria Bamford or Dannah Phirman in "High Five Sandwich".
