Thomas Christopher Parnell is an American actor, voice artist, comedian, and singer.

Before he came to WordGirl, he became famous for his ten year starring run on NBC's sketch comedy and variety show, Saturday Night Live, and for playing Dr. Leo Spaceman in the satirical television sitcom, 30 Rock.

Parnell was chosen to voice the Narrator on WordGirl because of his popularity on NBC's Saturday Night Live. In addition, he also voiced one of Dr. Two-Brains' henchmen, the Exposition Guy, and the Museum Security Guard, each most likely to help the plot of an episode be understandable or to keep a story going.

He received praise from audiences for his role as the Narrator because of his comedic timing as a storyteller, and for his sense of improvisation.

In addition to WordGirl, he also became known for voicing Cyril Figgis on Archer, Mr. Peabody in The Mr. Peabody and Sherman Show, Warren in Bob's Burgers, Jerry Smith on Rick and Morty, Fly in the Hotel Transylvania, and the "Progressive Box" for the Progressive Insurance commercials.
