Big's Big Bounce is episode 15b of Season 2 of WordGirl.
Summary[]
Becky and Bob get a big surprise when Mr. Big wants to "help" the Fair City scouts win the Mega-Boing Trampoline. The city scouts sell lots of granola bars desperate to win. But is Mr. Big really helping the kids? Or is he planning to keep the trampoline for himself?
Plot[]
One evening while looking out from his office, Mr. Big tells Leslie he has everything he wants except for one thing: a mega boing trampoline. He begs her to get it but she tells him that there's only one mega boing available but it's not for sale, it's the prize for the Fair City's Scout's Granola Bar sale, whoever sells the most bars wins. Hearing this, Mr. Big decides to pay the Scouts a visit at school.
The next day after classes, Becky and Bob have just joined the Fair City Scouts and are attending their first meeting. She asks Violet and Scoops who are also in the troop what the Scouts do. They explain they go on camping trips, tell scary stories, and have field trips. In the gym, they join the troop and Mrs. Ripley who is the troop leader. After reciting the motto, Mrs Ripley welcomes Becky and Bob to Troop 865. She tells the Scouts that it is time for the annual Granola Bar sales, but no one is glad to hear this. She reminds everyone that the sales are important as some of the money they raise goes into helping them have more fun activities they can do. If they sell the most granola bars they will win the Mega Boing trampoline which everyone is awe struck by, but point out they never sell the most granola bars. Mrs Ripley tells them she brought someone in who will help them: Mr. Big. He explains to the students how to make a sale: they need to tell everyone to not buy granola bars but tasty dreams, triple the sales and sell to people through their inside need. The kids become excited and ready, he then tells them by using these skills they will make great sales and will win the mega boing trampoline. All the scouts grab their stashes of granola bars and get ready to sell. After the meeting, Becky asks Mr. Big why he wants to help the Fair City Scouts. Mrs Ripley becomes offended at Becky's question but Mr. Big assures her it's all right, while he has bent the rules he wants to help. While Becky remains suspicious she goes along with it.
The next day, the Scouts get to work on their sales, Violet uses her art expertise, Scoops uses a cart and presentation as for Becky and Bob, they did not have to sell any as Tim ate them all (he paid for them beforehand). Soon enough, the results come in and Woodview Elementary's troop wins and they cheer, Mr Big tells them by working hard they achieved their goals. While the others are cheering, Becky still wonders what Mr. Big is up to.
Soon, the trampoline has arrived and the kids are excited. Tim congratulates Becky on selling all her granola bars, although Becky does point out he did eat the majority of them, which he admits he loves. Mrs. Ripley congratulates everyone for their hard work and presents the trampoline but the box is empty causing many of the kids to cry. Becky and Bob walk away and have figured out what happened so they turn into the superheroes and confront Mr. Big, who is bouncing on the trampoline from the roof of his building. WordGirl shows up and confronts him while bouncing, eventually Huggy and Leslie fight as well on the trampoline, eventually Mr. Big and Leslie are caught in trampoline springs and WordGirl returns the trampoline to the scouts. Becky and Bob return and everyone bounces together while Leslie and Mr Big are picking up granola bar wrappers on the side of the road.
